Nicky is head of sustainability and net zero in the South West joining from the national Greener NHS programme where she was responsible for teams working on research and innovation, transforming models of care, engaging staff and communications. She led the NHS’ work on COP26 ensuring that health was recognised as a driver for climate action, that the voices of health professionals were central to negotiations and other health care systems globally joined the NHS in making a commitment to reach net zero. Previously Nicky was director of the UK Health Alliance on Climate Change and has also held policy, public affairs and campaign roles at UK charities including the NSPCC, the Ramblers and Age UK.
