Maureen Jersby

Dr Maureen Jersby has a history of educational innovation and played a leading role in the development of the Surgical Care Practitioner postgraduate diploma in her previous role at Teesside University.

She is co-author of the RCS 2014 Curriculum framework for the surgical care practitioner. Maureen completed her Ph.D. studies Establishing the Benefits of Utilising Simulation-based Education in an Undergraduate Nursing Programme under the supervision of Professor Paul Van Schaik at Teesside University. In her current role at Northumbria University Maureen is the programme lead for MSc Advanced Clinical Practice and involved in teaching preregistration undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students across a range of modules including overseas
